Hexagon Office Building, Calgary, Canada

By combining CB Climbing Units with the MAXIMO Panel Formwork, the required high quality of the concrete surfaces was achieved while, at the same time, maintaining the tight construction schedule.
For the shafts, 90° MXSE Shaft Corners with MAXIMO elements formed a complete formwork unit which could be quickly moved with a single crane lift.
Once struck, a clearance of 35 mm is created on each side of the shaft so that the entire internal shaft formwork can be moved to the next level.
A focus on fast working: connected by means of the BFD Alignment Coupler, several 2.40 m wide MAXIMO Panel Formwork elements could be moved as one large-sized formwork unit with a single crane lift.
For construction of the new Hexagon office complex in Calgary, MAXIMO Panel Formwork with its single-sided MX tie technology saved valuable working time. The MAXIMO Shaft Corner also provided site personnel with a fast, safe method for striking and moving the core formwork units.
